It is finally happening. If you’ve spent any time on TikTok or Instagram scrolling through videos of ultra-crispy, hand-tossed chicken wings dripping in Hickory Smoked BBQ or Garlic Parmesan, you’ve probably shared my frustration: Why does the Central Belt get all the good stuff while we’re left waiting up north?
Well, the wait is almost over. Wingstop UK is officially making its way to the Highlands, setting up shop right here in Inverness.
Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming launch.
The Location
Wingstop is taking over Unit F2 at the Inverness Shopping Park on Eastfield Way.
It’s a smart move. Instead of trying to squeeze into a tiny spot in the city center, they are setting up out at the retail park. This means plenty of parking, easy access, and a massive space to sit down and actually enjoy your food. Whether you are grabbing a quick lunch while out shopping or doing a late-night food run, it’s going to be incredibly convenient.
What’s on the Menu?
If you haven't experienced Wingstop before, they don’t mess around when it comes to customisation. You choose your style, your size, and—most importantly—your flavour profile from their famous 10-spice scale.
-
The Cut: You can choose between classic wings (on the bone), boneless wings, tenders, or a big chicken burger.
-
The Flavours: This is the core experience. They range from the completely mild Garlic Parmesan and sweet Hawaiian, up through the crowd-favourite Lousiana Rub and Hickory Smoked BBQ, all the way to the fiery Mango Habenero and the sweat-inducing Atomic.
-
The Sides: Their seasoned fries are legendary, but they also serve loaded fries, onion rings, and freshly made house dips (the ranch is practically a cult favorite online).
-
To Drink & Dessert: They will be serving milkshakes, freestyle soda machines, Camden Town beer, and hot churros for dessert.
When is it Opening?
While management and team leader roles are actively being hired right now, an exact grand opening date hasn't been plastered on the front doors just yet. However, given that the hiring phase is in full swing, we can safely expect the doors to swing open in the very near future.
I don't know about you, but I’m already planning my first order. I'm thinking an 8-piece wing combo, split between Louisiana Rub and Spicy Korean Q, with a massive side of seasoned fries and extra ranch.
Are you a wing purist who stays on the bone, or are you firmly team boneless?
