Caledonian Canal

The magnificent 60-mile canal connecting the east and west coasts of Scotland through the Great Glen, passing through a series of natural lochs including Loch Ness. Boat trips, cycling, and walking along the towpath are all popular, and Neptune's Staircase at Banavie is the longest staircase lock in Britain.
